Annual Pirith Ceremony
The chanting of pirith, so popular today is used to exorcise evil spirits and to protect a person or society from evil influences and pestilences. It is a magical ceremony taken into Buddhist ritual. The mandapa or the canopy, the sacred water-pot, the sacred thread, and incense are key items of this magical rite.
The central province manufacturing facilities of Crystal Martin Sri Lanka hosted overnight Pirith chanting events at each site. The efforts of all employees of Crystal Martin Galagedara, Dambulla and Kanthale made the three chanting ceremonies a huge success.
The pirith chanting ceremony included, overnight pirith chanting in the special Mandapa (Canopy) and Offerings to the monks to gain blessing for Crystal Martin and all our valued employees good health and a prosperous year ahead.
