Aurudu Celebrations
The month of April, which represents the month of prosperity in the Sinhalese calendar , we Sri Lankans celebrates the Sinhala and Hindu new year symbolizing the ending of the old year, and the beginning of the New Year. The first signs of spring remind Sri Lankans that it’s time for a spectrum of festivities, which encompass rhythmic beats on the rabana, sweet delicacies, and the melodies of the koel.
Once the rituals are over, celebrations spill out…!!!
We at Crystal Martin , celebrated this auspicious festival with a day filled with traditional games . The games included Aurudu Kumari and Kumara, Tug of war , Kanamutti and many others. All our beloved employees dressed up to celebrate this wonderful festival.
